Goal 4: Multi-spectral mosaic for Vegetation dynamics

Specification of Final product 4:

(HEMAV will not process the imagery but must provide the necessary intermediate products)

4.1. Flight characteristics and equipment

  • Ginbal: designed for Tetracam

4.2 Deliverables

Images and necessary files to create the multi-spectral mosaic using Agisoft PhotoScan

  • X images of XXX cm * YYY cm and xxx resolution HEMAV?
  • Overlap among images ~80% HEMAV?
  • Images of calibration targets at the begining and end of the flight
    • Size of calibrated targets: XX * XX ALOBO
  • File 1 with
    • image name
    • time of acquisition
    • X coordinate of image center
    • Y coordinate of image center
    • Z coordinate of image center

4.3. Field Work

4.3.1 Ground marks

  • 12 ground marks with sub-metric GPS positioning must be visible in the ensemble (ALOBO)
    • HEMAV: Do you have any special geometric targets? how many?
    • HEMAV (Marc?): is 12 enough?
  • Calibration targets (HEMAV)

4.3.1 Field sampling

Stratified random sampling design using the combined information of 2013 and the iorto of ICC (ALOBO!!)

  • Variables (TBD on 20150615):
    • Concentration of chlorophyle
      • SPAD?
      • samples + analysis
    • Lignine or any other indicator of woodiness
    • Biomass (green and brown)
      • Vertical photogrphy?
    • (G)LAI?
